School Program
Village offers a combined class program for children ages 3 to 6 years old. Because we recognize that the physical, emotional and social development and needs vary between preschool aged children, our children are considered to be Juniors (ages 3-4 years) or Seniors (ages 4+ years).
Our class provides the predictability and consistency of a daily routine that helps our younger children learn and thrive, while also allowing for new and more complex ways to extend play for our older children (e.g., art and science projects, field trips, optional Lunch and Play).
Juniors (Age 3 before 11/1/2020)
Choose between 2-4 days per week:
Monday-Thursday
9:00am-12:00pm
seniors (Age 4 by 9/1/2020)
Choose between 3-5 days per week:
Monday-Friday
9:00am-12:00pm
Optional Lunch and Play on MWF from 12:00-1:00pm.
Curriculum
The curriculum at Village is planned by Teacher Tara and follows the natural changes in the seasons and rhythms of the year. The science table items, and the easel art and materials change monthly.
Special Projects and celebrations are designed with the interest of the children in mind. Children can celebrate their birthday and we celebrate seasonal and traditional holidays.
We encourage families to share their own cultural celebrations in the classroom. Snack at Village is also an intentional piece of the curriculum that allows our children to build self-help skills and to engage in conversation and sharing with peers.
